Ph.D. Liliana ȚUROIU is Associate Professor at the National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, visual artist and diplomat.

President of the Romanian Cultural Institute between April 2017 and July 2019, Liliana Țuroiu is currently the director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Brussels. He was the General Coordinator of the EUROPALIA Romania International Art Festival and its highlight exhibition dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși, from BOZAR, a large-scale project that included in its program over 250 cultural events.

Liliana ȚUROIU was decorated as Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government.

She is member of the European network ENCATC, University Foundation Brussels, International Council of Creative Industries Federation and also member in the Scientific Council of the Sapienza Foundation. She is a strong believer of the key role played by the cultural diplomacy and creative industries within the international community. She has given keynote speeches at NATO International Conference, organized in Egmont Palace in February 2020, at Annual Meeting of the Romanian Diplomacy (RADR) in 2017 and 2018, at the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin in 2018 and in many other academic events in over 10 countries. As a visual artist, he has organized over 100 solo and group exhibitions in 12 countries.
